Call for Research Abstracts: Mindfulness in Society
(Electronic submissions only)
We are inviting submissions of abstracts for research talks and research posters to be presented as part of the 2017 CMRP Conference. There will be a limited number of research talks with each talk being 15 minutes long plus an additional 5 minutes for questions and discussion.
The research talks will be held on Saturday 8th July 2017 and Monday 10th July and grouped based on converging topics.
The research posters will be continually on display throughout the conference however there will be sessions where the authors will be present to discuss their research. These sessions will be held on the evenings of Saturday 8th July and Monday 10th July.
We encourage submissions detailing original completed research studies on mindfulness which will not be published elsewhere prior to the conference (presentations at other recent meetings are acceptable). This includes research using qualitative and quantitative methods as well as theoretical contributions. The research quality of all abstracts will be evaluated by peer reviewers. Research talks and poster presentations will be selected on the basis of their scientific merit.
The research talks and the poster session will be a great opportunity for networking among researchers who are contributing to mindfulness research.
Guidance for the abstract submissions:
Abstracts should be no longer than 200 words and clearly state the title of the study, authors and details of the research in the following sections (see the abstract submission form):
· Introduction / Background
· Aims / Hypotheses
One of the authors for each poster needs to be available for at least one of the research poster sessions to discuss the poster presentation and answer questions.
The poster will ideally be left up in the room for the duration of the conference.
All presenters must register for the conference and pay the conference fee.
Deadline for abstract submissions is 28th April 2017 and you will be notified of the outcome of your submission by 31st May 2017.
