Prof. Dr. Anne Speckens (Radboudumc Centre for Mindfulness, Department of Psychiatry) is a psychiatrist and cognitive behavioural therapist. She is the founder and clinical director of the Radboudumc Centre for Mindfulness and an internationally acknowledged expert on MBIs for both psychiatric and somatic conditions with more than 80 peer-reviewed publications (H-index 25). She has been Prinicipal Investigator of several large-scale national research projects, such as the MOMENT study on MBCT, antidepressant medication or the combination in patients with recurrent depression. At present, she is coordinating several multi-centre clinical trials: MBCT as a support for withdrawing antidepressant medication, MBCT for adults with ADHD, face-to-face and online MBIs for cancer patients (MILON, BeMIND) and MBIs for medical professionals. The Radboud Centre for Mindfulness also offers a 1,5 years teacher training programme for mindfulness teachers in health care, education, criminal justice and other organizations.
