Ariana Faris is a Systemic and Family Psychotherapist and Mindfulness Teacher. She set up Mindfulness for Students in 2013 with Kate Malleson having introduced Mindfulness courses for Performance Anxiety at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2009. She is co founder of Refugee Trauma Initiative, a project providing psychosocial support to refugees living in camps in Northern Greece, and is piloting a project, Mindfulness without Borders, in Cardiff and London offering trauma based mindfulness group work with refugee women. This project is funded by OMC.

Zarlasht Halaimzai is a cofounder of Refugee Trauma Initiative and Mindfulness without Borders working with Ariana Faris. Zarlasht has worked in refugee camps in the Middle East for many years. She is currently also studying Child Psychotherapy at Cambridge.
