Julia Wallond is the lead for mindfulness services at the Portland centre for Integrative Medicine, a non-profit community interest company whose mission is to offer a range of holistic approaches to support health and wellbeing within private and public sectors, alongside education, research and evaluation. Current projects include partnership with the Southmead Development Trust, offering MBCT for local residents with a history of recurrent depression, and partnership with Penny Brohn Cancer Care charity, providing MBCT to cancer patients.

Julia is a GP in inner city Bristol, a mindfulness teacher, trained by Exeter University in 2011, and currently a tutor to the Exeter mindfulness training course. She is also a supervisor for the mindfulness network CIC. She has been practicing within the insight meditation tradition for around ten years, principally at Gaia House Retreat Centre, Devon.
