Marloes Huijbers (1983) works as a psychologist and researcher at the Radboudumc Centre for Mindfulness in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She has recently finalised her PhD project on MBCT for recurrent depression, comparing MBCT, antidepressant medication and the combination of these interventions in two randomised controlled trials (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26892847 andhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26318271). Other research interests include teacher competency in MBIs and the influence of patients’ preferences. She is currently involved in two other research projects, one focusing on compassion training for recurrently depressed individuals and the other focusing on how to facilitate tapering antidepressant medication in primary care. In addition, Marloes works as an MBSR teacher.
